Introduction
SalesLama (saleslama.com) is operated by Lixatech (Pvt) Limited (“Lixatech”, “we”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit our website, book a demo, or use the SalesLama platform.
It should be read together with our Terms of Use.
Our role: controller and processor
- Account and website data. For information about our customers and website visitors, such as your name, email, company and billing details, Lixatech is the data controller.
- Customer Data. For the leads, contacts and messages that brokerages and teams store in SalesLama, our customer is the controller and Lixatech acts as a processor (service provider) on their behalf. We process that data only to provide the Service and on our customer’s instructions.
If you received a message from a real estate team that uses SalesLama and want to access, correct or delete your data, or stop receiving messages, please contact that team directly or reply STOP / use the unsubscribe link. You can also email us and we will pass your request on.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Demo and contact requests: name, work email, mobile number, brokerage or team name, province or region, team size, lead volume and notes you choose to share.
- Account details: names and emails of users, roles, password (stored hashed), and settings.
- Billing details: company name, billing contact, address and tax details needed to issue invoices, and records of payments. We do not store full card numbers.
- Support messages and feedback.
Customer Data you store in SalesLama
- Lead and contact details such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, property interests, tags, notes and pipeline stages.
- Messages sent and received through email, SMS and WhatsApp, appointment bookings, tasks and documents.
- Data received from forms, imports, webhooks, the API and connected apps.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: IP address, browser, device type, pages and features used, log and error data.
- Message delivery data: delivery status, opens and clicks where tracking is enabled.
- Cookies and similar technologies (see section 11, Cookies).
How we use information
- To provide, operate and maintain the Service, including sending the messages and running the campaigns you set up.
- To create and manage accounts, authenticate users and apply permissions.
- To issue invoices, process payments and keep financial records.
- To respond to demo requests and support questions.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent spam, abuse and fraud, and enforce our Terms.
- To understand usage and improve features, using aggregated or de-identified data where possible.
- To send service notices and, where allowed, product updates you can opt out of.
- To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use Customer Data to advertise to your contacts.
Legal bases for processing
Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on:
- Contract: to provide the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the Service, prevent abuse and communicate with business contacts.
- Legal obligation: to keep tax and accounting records and respond to lawful requests.
- Consent: for optional marketing and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
How we share information
We share personal data only as needed to run the Service:
- Infrastructure providers: cloud hosting, databases, storage, backups and monitoring.
- Messaging providers: email delivery services, SMS carriers and aggregators, and the WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta), to send and receive the messages you set up.
- Apps you connect: when you connect Zapier, Make, a calendar, your website or another tool, data is shared with it as you configure.
- Professional advisers: accountants, auditors and lawyers, under confidentiality.
- Legal requests: when required by law, court order or a competent authority, or to protect rights, safety and the Service.
- Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Our service providers may only use personal data to provide services to us and must protect it.
Data retention
- Customer Data: kept while your account is active. After an account is closed you have 30 days to request an export; we then delete Customer Data from live systems within 90 days, and from backups on their normal rotation.
- Account and support data: kept while your account is active and for up to 2 years after, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Invoices and financial records: kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Demo requests from people who don’t become customers: kept for up to 2 years, or deleted sooner on request.
Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage for sensitive data, role-based access controls, hashed passwords, logging and regular backups. Access to production data is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use strong passwords and tell us straight away about any suspected unauthorised access.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent and opt out of marketing;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
These include rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, Canada’s PIPEDA and provincial laws, and US state laws such as the CCPA/CPRA. To make a request, email support@saleslama.com. We will reply within 30 days and may need to verify your identity. If your data is Customer Data held for a real estate team, we will direct your request to that team or help them respond.
International transfers
Lixatech is based in Pakistan, and our service providers may process data in other countries, including the United States, Canada and the European Union. When we transfer personal data across borders, we use appropriate safeguards, such as contractual protections with our providers, so that your data stays protected.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the Service. With your consent where required, we may use analytics cookies to understand how our website is used. You can control cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the Service from working.
Children
SalesLama is a business service for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date, and tell account owners by email about material changes.
